Root Canal Retreatment

Occasionally, a previously treated tooth may need to be retreated. Root canal retreatment may be due to any of the following reasons:

Three steps to root canal retreatment:

Step 1:

RootCanalRetreatment01

Our endodontist will re-open the tooth to gain access to the root canal space.  Any previous crown, post, or filling may need to be removed to gain access.

Step 2:

RootCanalRetreatment02

Our endodontist will examine and clean the canals within the tooth.

Step 3:

RootCanalRetreatment03

After cleaning the canals within the tooth (using  PIPS in combination with the ER: YAG Laser) our endodontist will fill and seal the canals, placing a temporary filling in the tooth.
